Today we’ll be having a look at the essence all-in-one BB cream:
The essence all-in-one BB cream is a lightly tinted beauty balm, that moisturises and ensures a smooth, radiant and flawless complexion.
The light, oil-free formula helps to make small skin imperfections less visible without blocking your pores and provides intensive moisture thanks to the glycerin included as one of it’s ingredients for a healthy look.
It is available in 3 different shades:
- Universal 01
- Natural 02
- Medium 03
And all 3 are quite light in colour, so unfortunately it does not really cater for darker skins, but if you have a light to medium skin tone, I can definitely recommend that you test it out. (If you require a darker shade, check out my review on the PONDS Age Miracle BB Cream)
I decided to try out the 2nd shade – Natural 02 – and the cream seemed almost too dark when it came out of the tube, but when I applied it to my skin, it magically blended to suit the tone of my skin PERFECTLY!
Some people have commented that the product has an unpleasant fragrance, but I did not really find this to be the case.
The BB cream is in fact fragrance-free, which is possibly why peeps who are used to a fragranced product may experience this natural / unfragranced smell as unpleasant… ? lol But it did not bother me at all.
It comes in a sturdy tube with a twist off cap, that is easy to store or slip into your handbag to re-apply during the day 😉
Another GREAT feature is the Spf 30, which is slightly higher than the more common Spf 25 that are found in most other moisturisers.
Because the product is oil-free is has a mostly matte finish on your skin, but the moisturising properties also provides somewhat of a dewy finish, which is great for adding that sought after healthy glow to your skin.
Final Thoughts: I have chosen this BB cream as my favourite to wear to work everyday. I love that it makes my skin feel moisturised, gives enough coverage to even out my skin, but not cover up the natural healthy glow, and the affordable price is a BIG selling point.
