This shoot wasn’t actually an official portfolio shoot. It was more of what are these days called a ‘Styled Shoot’, where the creatives involved play around with some ideas they have been wanting to try. 

I was dying to do a smokey eye MakeUp look with a shimmery red pigment that I had in my kit. And the photographer wanted to play with some new lighting equipment (so you’ll see the photos have different kinds of lighting).

I knew Nadia (our model) from back in the day when we both used to work at a “Coyote Ugly’ – type bar… yes, my wilder days… lol Had so much fun behind the bar, as well as on top of it 😉 he-he-he

So for her MakeUp, I went a bit edgy with a smokey eye using my shimmery red pigment and black eye shadow. I used a tiny bit of the same red as her blusher and then added a butterscotch nude lip. Because the MakeUp was more edgy, I did some crazy hair by teasing the bottom lengths into a messy volume.
