Zane’s MakeUp & Hair for the Girls High Matric Dance 2019
I did Zane’s Hair and MakeUp for both the Girls High Matric Dance (her dance) and the Boland Landbouskool Matric Dance (her boyfriend’s dance). This one was up first, but keep an eye out for my follow up post on the Landbouskool dance as well 😉
Zane’s MakeUp
For this dance Zane wore a soft and flowing dress with lace detail. So I kept her MakeUp classic and feminine. I did a semi-smokey eye with just a touch of Maroon accents in both the eyeshadows that I used as well as on her lips. She also had crazy long and full lashes of her own, which I then defined with 2 coats of mascara. And made to look even fuller with a thin black liquid line right on the lashline.
Zane was on Vit A pills for her skin, so I had to do a bit of extra moisturising on her dehydrated skin before using my Airbrush Foundation from Kryolan. Then I lifted out her cheekbones by sculpting her cheeks with a contouring palette from The MakeUp Revolution.
Some of the other products that I used:
- Eyeshadow palette: MakeUp Revolution London – Iconic Vitality Reloaded
- Liquid liner: Catrice Cosmetics – Liquid Liner Waterproof 010 Don’t Leave Me
- Mascara: Maybelline New York – Great Lash Waterproof Very Black
- Lips: NYX soft matte lip cream – SMLC32 Rome
Zane’s Hair
To show off the beautiful neckline and details of the dress, I took Zane’s hair up into a loose bun on the crown of her head.
I had to use a hair donut to add a bit of volume, and I also left a few loose curly strands around her face to create softness.
