I have two passions in life – being creative through makeup – and my more recently discovered passion for salsa (dancing)!
And the reason I love my salsa school – aka second home – so much, is because of the opportunity they give me to combine both passions with their themed salsa parties on Saturday evenings <3 <3 <3
So I though that I would start to share the joys these parties give me with you guys 😉
This past Saturday we had a NYC style (on 2 dancing) Yellow Taxi Cab Salsa Party at Que Pasa Latin Lounge.
So – true to the theme – I had to go with everything yellow and black&white check…
Here are some of the products I used to create my makeup look and nails for the evening:
– Mineralize Skinfinish Natural by MAC for that photo perfect flawless skin.
– Bright yellow eyeshadow from The Face Shop (which I picked up during a trip to the east) all over the eyelid from lash to brow line.
– Black Rimmel Professional Liquid liner
– Volume Flash Scandal’eyes Mascara from Rimmel (see my product review on this Mascara here)
And bright yellow and black nail polish from Top Shine.
For my nails, I first did a couple of coats of the bright yellow. I then used the black polish to paint a check pattern on white ‘french manicure guides’, which I stuck on my nail tips, and finally sealed everything with a clear top coat.
And these were some of my accessories..
A NY ‘bling’ pendant – yellow feather earrings with a touch of black & white – and black fishnet finger-less gloves
For my outfit
I wore a plain bright yellow tank top over a black tank top, black & white check skirt and thigh high black socks.
