Nicolette Attree – Family Shoot MakeUp and Hair Styling
Nicolette is actually one of the photographers that I work with on a regular basis, doing hair & makeup for ladies that come to have their photos taken by her. But on this occasion, she (and her family) were the ones in front of the lens. And I finally got my hands on those amazing eyes of hers! 😉
Nicolette’s MakeUp
As you will see from the photos, this photographer’s style is quite moody. So Nicolette wanted me to do more of a dramatic MakeUp look, rather than the usual natural look that most ladies opt for during a Family Shoot. Which is why I did a chocolate brown smokey eye, with some hints of pink and plum. I also shaped her gorgeous cheeks with a pink-ish blush and some highlighter.

For her hair, she wanted to keep things more casual. so I just did a soft wavy curl in her medium length dark hair. Which she wore loose in a side parting.

I also ended up doing a quick lighter brown smokey eye on her sister-in-law. She never wears eye MakeUp, but was so impressed by Nici’s MakeUp that she also wanted a little something herself. Because this wasn’t booked and therefore planned, I didn’t have much time before they had to leave for the shoot. So I couldn’t pay as much attention to detail as I normally would during a MakeUp session. But it still made all the difference for her to at least have a little something on her eyes for the photos.
Nicolette again booked me to do her Hair & MakeUp for her own wedding recently, which I will be sharing in a post soon. So keep an eye out!! 😉

Following a shoot where I DIDN’T do the Hair & MakeUp:
“Hi Mariaan, ek is so bitter jammer, ek stuur vir jou ‘n boodskap op n Sondag. Een van my bruide het hare en makeup nodig vir die 9de Maart. Is jy enigsins beskikbaar? Haar makeup en hare meisie het my sooo teleurgestel vandag,,, sy het haar trial laat doen en dit toe so gedra vir hul verlowings shoot 🙁 Dit was terrible… Dankie dat jy so awesome is… ek waardeer jou werk baie op dae soos die”
Awaiting her own wedding day:
“Yayyy ek kan nie wag nie! Ek voel so bederf wane jy vie my mooi maak!!!”

“Mariaan, SO baie dankie vir gister!!! Jy is net amazing! Ek hoop jou dag is bietjie rustiger vandag en jy kry kwaliteit tyd in saam met jou man”
