The new Vaseline® Intensive CareTM range of body lotions and creams includes five variants, which I will be reviewing for you over the next couple of weeks.
Today we’ll be looking at the Vaseline Intensive Care Dry Skin Repair:
According to Vaseline, this lotion restores dry skin for 3X longer than a leading competitor, based on a 4 week treatment clinical study.
It comes in the same flip top container as the other lotions in this range, and the container is a distinctive yellow colour.
I quite like the fact that it is a “flat” more than round bottle, which just makes it much easier to store or travel with.
The lotion itself has no colour, but it is lightly fragranced with (what I would describe as) the sweet smell of a field of spring flowers, and it lingers on your skin for quite some time after applying.
When I applied the lotion to my skin, I could clearly feel the combination of glycerine (to pull moisture into all the lower layers of the skin), and Vaseline® Petroleum Jelly (to keep the moisture locked in).
It felt creamy, yet with that touch of “vaseline” – absorbed very quickly (my skin clearly craved it… lol) and was not greasy at all.
The Vaseline® Intensive CareTM range can be found at pharmacies like Clicks or Dischem or department stores like Pick n Pay or Checkers and the 200ml Dry Skin Repair Lotion retails for around R22-99, or the 400ml for around R35-99.
Final Thoughts: After using it a couple of times, my skin felt healthier and stronger – which is a weird word to describe it I know, but that is definitely how it felt… 😉
I would happily recommend this lotion as a great everyday treat.
