Aaaand… again I’m a little bit late with this week’s post… Still playing the catch up game I’m afraid 😉 But here is my NYE creation that I sported at the end of 2014 :

I started my design off with a clear base coat, and then one coat of Brand New Skates – by O.P.I, to create my night sky as background (this polish is quite sheer, which is exactly the effect I was looking for).

I then carefully painted on the famous silhouette of Table Mountain (in Cape Town, South Africa), stretching it over my index, middle & ring finger, with Lion’s Head on my pinky, using L.A. Colors Art Deco – Black, and different sizes of nail art brushes.

I also added a Full Moon, busy setting behind the corner of Table Mountain, on my ring finger. Using Sally Hansen lustre shine nail colour – 001 Moonstone

Lastly, I painted on 2015 in white (as a base for the colour), and then with a different colour for each number, over the mountain using:

index – Tip top Nailchic – Surfer Girl
middle finger – Tip Top Nailchic – Beach Babe
ring finger – L.A. Girl color ADDICT nail colour – Urge
pinky – Zoya professional lacquer – Diana

And created some fireworks above Table Mountain using L.A. Colors Art Deco – White, Sally Hansen lustre shine nail colour – 001 Moonstone and Mavala Nail Colour – 228 Sparkling Violet.

Not a very glamorous design.. but I really do love my home town Cape Town, and its iconic Table Mountain, so this design had more of a sentimental aspect to me than anything else 😉

And I am also SUPER excited about 2015! BIG things to come this year, and its going to be AWESOME!!!
