Hi Everyone!

I received an email from the Community Outreach Coordinator for Julep last week, to let me know of the Spring Nail Art Competition that they are currently running.

Now here in South Africa, we are actually going into Autumn now.. But I decided to go with the Spring Spirit anyway this week, as I would much rather ‘pretend’ that we’re also going into Summer, than the reality of Winter approaching… 😛

So for my Spring -Inspired Nail Art this week, I decided on some butterfly wings.

To me, they are one of the unmistakable icons of spring time!

I started with my clear top coat and a coat of light shimmery blue by Yu Xuan Nail Polish on all of my nails.

Next painted some abstract twirls on each nail using the following polishes:

Tip Top Nail Chic – Surfer Girl

Rimmel London Metal Rush – 60 Royal Blue

Nail Junkie 096 by SinfulColors Professional

Then with that as the base colour design for my butterfly wings, I added the details with Tip Top Nailchic – Black Forest & Tip Top Nailchic – Cream Puff using a thin nail art brush and dotting tool. And finished off with my clear top coat.

Sooo pretty!! I am going to be sad when I have to take them off next week! 🙁
