Pop Culture Nail Art

This weeks creation was also inspired by a pic I saw somewhere on the world wide web some time ago… And when it was done I thought it looked very Pop Culture Art-y, so hence my title 😀

I started with my clear base coat and a layer of Tip Top NailChic – Surfer Girl.

I then added the white to opposite corners of my nail with ragged edged borders, using Rimmel London – Lycra Nail Tip Whitener, leaving a diagonal strip of the purple in the middle of my nail.

The white created a perfect base again to then add the turquoise layer using 196 from M.O.D Nail Lacquer.

As the last step, I used a thin nail art brush to draw in the black lines, using Tip Top NailChic – Black Forrest, on the borders between the purple and turquoise, as well on the outside edges of the white.

This sure wasn’t one of my neatest creations.. But I think the look calls for a bit more “freedom”, so it works well… lol

And these are 2 of my favourite colours, so it goes with most of my outfits 😉 as well as gives me a little ‘lift’ whenever I look at it 😀
