So we’re on week no. 4 and the 4th theme of Beautybulletin.com‘s August Nail Challenge was: Glitter
And to use that old cliche saying… “all that glitters ain’t gold…” lol
I went with a Forest Green, Fuchsia Pink, and Pearl White combination.
I started with 2 full coats of the peal white and then I did the tip (about a 3rd of my nail) with the Forest Green. This green polish has a shimmer to it, and I then also painted on a teal blue glitter liquid eyeliner over it.
Liquid eyeliner?!.. Yes.. I know there are beautiful glitter nail polishes out there, but I had a very tight time-line on this challenge and had to use whatever I already had in my collection.. which meant being extra creative 😉
I then moved on to the Fuchsia Pink, on the middle 3rd of my nail, and tried to “fade it out” a little towards the cuticle side of my nail. This polish is not shimmery, and I used another glitter liquid eyeliner (purple) over it, also going slightly onto the white.
Finally I topped it all off with my trusty clear topcoat, to seal everything in and for that extra glossy shine 😉
These where my tools of creativity:
1.) Sally Hansen‘s Double Duty Top & Base coat (clear)
2.) Forest from Revlon Street Wear
3.) Funky Fuchsia & Pearl White by Top Shine
4.) Purple and teal blue glitter liquid eyeliner from Beauty Treats
