So this is my 2nd week’s post on the August Nail Challenge by beautybulletin.com that I took part in.

Theme no. 2 was: Blue

For this look, I got my inspiration from my trusty old pair of blue jeans.. 😉  I didn’t  have a suitable ‘blue jeans colour’ so I improvised by mixing a darker gray shimmery polish with a lighter blue polish.

I started with a coat of (french) white on the entire nail. When that was completely dry, I did a coat of my ‘mixed blue jeans colour’, and then used the tip of an orange stick to ‘draw” the lines/stitching before the polish was dry. I then neatened/filled in the lines/stitching with my white polish where needed, and finished with my clear top coat.

Here are the products I used for this look:

1.)  Sally Hansen‘s Double Duty Top & Base coat (clear)

2.)  Pearl White by Top Shine

3.)  O.P.I nail lacquer in Brand New Skates

4.)  No 31 from Ralo Cosmetics

I’m sure there are also some fabulous nail polish ranges out there that have ‘blue jeans coloured’  polishes, which will spare you the effort of having to make your own mixture. If you know of any, please comment on this post with your favourites 🙂
