This past weekend I came upon a couple of nail art goodies that my sister gave me quite a while ago, but which I “misplaced” and therefore never used yet. So I decided on the Silver glittery cracking top coat, to design my nail art creation around for this week 😉

I started off with my clear base coat, and then a coat of 915 George Blueney by Catrice Cosmetics.

I then used my striping tape to paint triangular sections of each nail with my new essence nail art cracking top coat – 04 crack me! silver and essence nail art special effect! topper – 11 disco disco.

I have to be honest and say that I was a little disappointed with the cracking top coat.. It didn’t “crack” nearly as much as I expected… On some nails – not at all – when I applied too thick a layer… as instructed on the bottle!… “apply a generous layer”. So I struggled a bit to get the consistency “just right”, for it to crack as much as possible 🙁

But I’ll keep playing with it – maybe I just need a bit more practice to get it perfect 😉
