So this week, the idea was to do my nail art creation according to a competition that Tip Top was running with the theme : Winter Wonderland

And me being me – I didn’t want to do the well “used” snow covered scene or intricate snowflake crystals… we don’t even get that much snow in South Africa during our winters…

So I decided to do a scene that I would associate with a true SA winter : the glow of a welcoming fireplace, and a good bottle of red wine.

I started off with my clear base coat, and then a layer of Tip Top NailChic – Black Forest on all of my nails.

Then I started with my fireplace flames and “glow” design, using my Givenchy Le Vernis – Croisiere Mat Orange and essence colour & go – 137 wanna be your sunshine.

Next I added some detail to the flames by using essence colour & go – 137 wanna be your sunshine over the orange. And then sponging a gradient effect onto my other 3 fingers, for the glow of the fire, using :

essence
colour & go – 137 wanna be your sunshine

Givenchy Le Vernis – Croisiere Mat Orange

Zoya nail polish – Diana

And then as the last step, it was time to add my wine bottle & glass very carefully… I used (quite appropriately) Tip Top NailChic – Crushed Grapes, and essence nail art freestyle & tip painter – 11 grape-metallic rocks! for the finer details.

Mmmmm, my favourite way to spend a cold winter’s evening!!
