So this year ( like last year 😉 ) I spent my New Years Eve on the Salsa dance floor at Que Pasa Latin Lounge in Cape Town, South Africa.

We didn’t have a theme for this party, but I had been eye-ing this dress for a while, so I decided it was time to take the plunge.. And then all the other aspects of my look was inspired by the colour and shimmering sequins of my dress 😀

Here’s a close-up of my eye makeup:

I used my shocking pink Rimmel lipstick as a base colour on my lid, from the lash line, to just above the fold of my eye.

I then dabbed on a gel glitter eyeshadow in a similar colour and dabbed on the pink loose eyeshadow glitter on top of that.

Next I used my black precision eye pencil from Catrice to line my eyes top & bottom as well as the waterline, blended it into a softer ‘Smoky’ effect with a black shimmer eyeshadow from Rimmel London, and extended it into a winged cat eye (along the bottom edge of the pink). I also used my black shimmery liquid liner over that on the top lid (as close to the lashes as possible).

My 3rd step was to apply the silver gel glitter eyeshadow to the top half of my eyelid, and then to dab on the silver loose eyeshadow glitter on top of that. I also used some of the glitter underneath my eye.

As the last step was of course to apply my mascara and some false lashes for some extra va-va-voom 😉

Here are some of the products that I used:

I did this bold lippy to compliment this photo of my nails, but on the night I only wore a sheer nude gloss, because a lip like this would have been overkill paired with my already bold eye makeup.
