This week I attempted the spun sugar technique for the first time!…

And although it was super messy… It was also SUPER fun!! 😉

As you all know Halloween is around the corner, so I decided to do spun sugar mummy faces 😀

I started off my mani with the usual clear base coat, and then did a gradient – using Tip Top Nailchic – Black Forest, Brand New Skates – by O.P.I & essence nail art cracking top coat – 04 crack me! silver – as my base colour.

I then used the spun sugar technique with Rimmel London – Lycra Nail Tip Whitener to create my mummy’s bandaged face 😉

Lastly I created one “monster” eye – peaking out from under the bandages – on each nail, using:

essence colour & go – 137 wanna be your sunshine
Tip Top Nailchic – Black Forest
Rimmel London – Lycra Nail Tip Whitener

I didn’t do a top coat over, as I wanted to retain the textured look. And I really luuuurve the final result!! Can’t wait to start playing with some more spun sugar ideas and designs 😀
