I went shopping this past weekend and bought my first “fuzzy glitter”, so of course I had to test drive it this week in my Nail Art Design 😉
I decided to do a design with different shapes on each of my nails, and to use 2 of the 6 colours that I purchased.
So I started with my peel off base coat, to ensure an easy removal later. And then did the shapes using scotch tape guides, with the blue fuzzy glitter on my index, ring and pinky fingers – and the purple for the heart on my middle finger.
I then filled in the “naked spaces” on each nail with the opposite colour of fuzzy glitter, and added some clear top coat over it.
In hind sight, I think the top coat over was a big mistake, as it made the fuzzy texture quite hard & scratchy, which felt super gross and resulted in me not being able to wear this mani for very long.. 🙁
All in all though, it still looked pretty cool 😀 and I’m excited to play around with these fuzzy glitters some more!!
Have a great weekend everyone!! And don’t forget to follow/subscribe to my blog via wordpress, via email or via bloglovin to receive notifications of new posts in your reader or by email. xx
Oh no, I hate a hard, scratchy texture. It would creep me out. The texture looks weird, at first I thought it was like crinkled, painted tinfoil on your nails. What great colours though! I’ll look forward to seeing how else you use them.
Ha-ha-ha-ha Yes I agree wonderfulwolf – I literally took them of right after taking my photos! The texture just grossed me out too much!! LOL
I’m really excited about the new nail polish formulations they keep coming up with, and I’m looking forward to more!
Hi TheGreatZambini! Yes all the variety helps to keep things new and interesting!! 😉
I seriously admire your patience with Fuzzy Glitter, drives me bonkers hehe. This is such a beautiful mani 😀
Thanks Tyler! It did require some patience to apply, but even more so to keep them on long enough for the photos, as the texture on my nails was grossing me out like crazy.. lol
I hear ya hehe
I’ve never tried these but they look really fun 🙂
I don’t know if fun is the right word… lol But I know now that top coat is a no-no when working with this fuzzy glitter, so next time I should experience them as a lot more fun I hope 😉
