So like I mentioned in my Mermaid Makeup post on Tuesday.. these looks were inspired by the blue Nail Art glitter that I picked up for next to nothing at a local ‘chinese store’, which immediately reminded me of (mermaid) scales. And so the theme for this week’s Nail Art was born 😉
I started with my clear base coat, and then 2 coats of Yardley Quick dry – Aqua Marine
I then painted on wiggly seaweed, starting from my tips, using L.A. Girl color ADDICT nail colour – Urge, on all my nails except my ringfinger.
I also added some fine blue glitter on top of the green seaweed areas (also from the ‘chinese shop’.. 😉 )
And lastly I used my dotting tool to pick up the sheet glitter and to stick them to my ringfinger one by one using my L.A. Girl – Nail Thickener. And then sealed all my nails with 2 coats of Yardley – GEL LAC Overcoat.
So so pretty!! ;D
I was quite surprised by how many ‘pieces’ of glitter I still had left over after doing both my makeup and nails. The little pieces are super thin and light & therefore deceivingly more than it looks like.
This means that I will be able to play with them again for some more creations.. Yay!!
Have a lovely weekend everyone! and don’t forget to follow/subscribe to my blog via wordpress, via email or via bloglovin xx
