Rachel Jones | Maternity Shoot MakeUp

I really enjoyed doing a more dramatic MakeUp look on Rachel for her Maternity Shoot!

Rachel’s MakeUp

When Rachel showed me the reference pics of the type of photos they would be taking during this shoot I was super excited. Like the hat & lips photo – which definitely called for iconic red lips!

And paired with her blond hair and blue eyes, it inspired a classic ’50’s Marilyn Monroe’ MakeUp look.

I kept her eye shadow minimal, paired with a strong black liquid liner. She also brought her own pair of strip lashes which I applied for her. This was quite a dramatic pair of falsies – but it worked perfectly for the look that we were going for.

As always, I gave a a beautiful even coverage with my Airbrush Foundation, which would look flawless on the photos and last throughout (and far beyond) her photo shoot. And then also defined her cheekbones with bronzer, blusher and highlights.

Disclaimer: This photographer’s style of editing her photos is not what I would specifically choose to show off my work (MakeUp). I guess it was meant to give more of a ‘dreamy’ feel to the photos. But this also make them a bit grainy / blurry, which does not show the finer details (like MakeUp) very well… 🙁

But I still wanted to share them with you, as this look was so different from 90% of the Maternity Shoots I do MakeUp for usually.

Some of the products that I used:

Eyes: #SlaysForDaysPalette and #LiquidLuck (black eyeliner pen) from Swiitchbeauty
Foundation: Nebula Compextion Airbrush Foundation from Kryolan
Cheeks: NYX Contour Intuitive – Warm Zone
Lips : RIMMEL Provocalips Liquid Lip – 550 Play With Fire

Airbrush MakeUp by Mariaan Tolken from ProMakeupMe

Photographer: Samantha from SSDee Photography
